Bad Update is a software only Hypervisor exploit for the Xbox 360 which allows you to jump into the land of homebrew, emulators, custom Dashboards, and more using only a USB drive! This released to much excitement in early 2025 but as further improvements have been made to dramatically boost the reliability of it, Bad Update has now proven itself to be a worthy contender in the world of console mods. With how much has improved, I made this video to help anyone starting from scratch who might not know anything about Xbox 360 modding. This will go through the process of updating your console, setting up Bad Update, learning about homebrew, backing up your games, and more!
